12000 miles. 24 hours of flying. New Zealand but Home for 5 months.

And so, apologies that this is a bit late but there'll be a few posts over the next few days and weekend!

A lot of people have said aren't you scared of going to New Zealand? Especially for 5 months?
What am I to be scared of? Not a lot really.
A country that is known to be one of the most friendly places in the world, heading there in summer so having an average of 20 degrees everyday and most importantly living for 5 months next to the sea in one of the most beautiful scenic countries in the world.
No I for one don't think there is much to be scared of but more things to look forward to.

I think it's more the changes to life while I am out there.
Having to watch any live football in the early hours of the morning (Spurs vs Man City in 2 days at 8.45am), wearing shorts and a t-shirt everyday (its a tough life), the list can go on.
But I think the one thing that is a major issue is having to wear sun cream EVERY day, every day?!
For one thing, I hope my skin gets used to the sun else that's going to be a right pain and real expense!

But then all I have to think of is back home of temperatures below 5 degrees and raining a hell of a lot more than here, although we had a big rain shower when we arrived on Sunday and they don't call it windy wellington as a joke.

So I will post about our travels in the next few days through Singapore and the copious amounts of flying time.
It hasn't really hit me where I am yet but keep having to look at the map below and the picture beneath that to know I am here for a long time and I cannot wait for it.
